I will never be a threat to Cadel, but I made it. Thanks for all your words of encouragement, made a huge difference. I am just a little emotional right now...

Made it!!!
Mt. Druitt By The Sea
I never thought I would be so happy to see Frankston, but she was a sight for sore thighs after the hills of Mt. Martha!
Does that mean I am now in Greater Melbourne?
Ouch!
As I was saying earlier, the reason I almost didn't start was I (stupidly) had a spill before I even arrived at the start! It was dark and I cut a corner on the bike track and hit the gutter, coming off and blowing the front tyre. Embarrassing! Stupid too, as I know that track very well (just not that raised bit!).
I was lucky I didn't do any other damage to the bike and only once I had changed the tyre did I realise I did a nice graze of the elbow - stingy! I'll pop some lemon on it later.
On with the show...
Lunch At Queenscliff
Waiting for the next ferry - resting them old tired legs! Over half-way! Still, will be pushing it to make it back by 6. We'll see...
Geelong!
OK, made it this far, just have to make Queenscliff to have lunch and a rest (snooze!) on the ferry.
Near Avalon Airport
Getting to Geelong is my first goal. The headwind is not bad, but could do without it. At least heading to Queenscliff and beyond will have the wind behind me (just like the baked beans thanks Sandra!).

The way I am going...
Route - 210km Anti-Clockwise : M-Q-F-S-M
The Ride takes you around Port Phillip Bay, commencing at Alexandra Gardens in the City of Melbourne, then heading in a anti-clockwise direction to Queenscliff, followed by a ferry to Sorrento, and finishing back at Alexandra Gardens in Melbourne.
